Your
First Visit

Welcome to Hingham Dentistry. We look forward to meeting you! Our goal for your initial visit is to provide a comfortable environment, to get acquainted, and to share information. Please see below for more about what to expect at your first visit.

Your First Visit

Your first appointment will be about getting to know one another. We will discuss your goals and what brought you to our practice, learn about your medical history, and talk to you about treatment options. You will be given a clinical evaluation as well.

If you are seeking routine dental services, treatment can sometimes be performed on the same day as your consultation. For more complex procedures, or if you have issues in your medical history that need to be taken into account, we will schedule a second appointment with you for treatment. At that appointment, we will thoroughly review our findings with you and present a detailed dental treatment plan that makes sense to you and fulfills both your dental health needs and esthetic goals.

Helpful information to bring to your first visit:

  • X-Rays (if applicable): You can either bring them with you or ask your previous doctor to send them to us before your appointment date. Digital films are preferable and can be emailed to hinghamdentistry@gmail.com.
  • List of current prescription medications you are taking.
  • List of any medical conditions.
  • Filled out patient registration forms: New Patient Forms, Consent Form, Office Policies, Privacy Policy. Bringing these four forms to your appointment will help us expedite checking you in.
  • Insurance information: If you have dental insurance, please bring your card and any necessary completed forms, including referral paperwork (if applicable). This will also save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

PLEASE NOTE: Patients under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on their first consultation visit.
