MEET THE DOCTORS

Dr. Virginia Shahinian graduated from Boston University in 1974 and received her DMD from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 1977.  She then attended the Postgraduate Program in Prosthodontics at Tufts and received her Certificate of Prosthodontics in 1979.  Dr Shahinian taught in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Tufts from 1977 until 1982.  She also has been in private practice since 1977.  Dr Shahinian opened her own practice in 1990 in Hingham, Massachusetts.  Dr Shahinian specializes in creating beautiful smiles for her patients and is known for her gentle and caring attitude to her patients.   She has worked extensively in restoring dentition and has considerable experience with laminate veneers, crowns, bridges, implants, dentures partial dentures and fillings.  Dr Shahinian is a member of the South Shore District Dental Society, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association.


Dr. Rustam DeVitre is a Prosthodontist who has expertise in treating patients with tempero-mandibular joint disease as well as treating patients with difficult restorative needs. His background is centered around esthetics and oral rehabilitation.  Dr. DeVitre has conducted research in cementation, dental ceramics, computer aided design in dentistry.  His work has been published in the Journal of Prosthodontic Dentistry.  Dr. DeVitre graduated from Government Dental College, Bombay, India, 1973 and he completed Orthodontics MDS1 in 1974.  He attended the Postgraduate Program in Prosthodontics at Tufts School of Dental Medicine from 1974-1976 and received his Certificate of Prosthodontics in 1976.  He then joined the undergraduate class and obtained his DMD degree from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 1977.  Dr. DeVitre taught in the department of Restorative Dentistry as an Assistant Professor from 1976-1984 where he also worked in the faculty practice at Tufts from 1977-1884.  He then opened his restorative practice in Boston where he continues to work.  He is a member of the Academy of Dental Science, American College of Prosthodontics, the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society,  Past President of the Northeast Craniomandibular Society and is well known and highly respected in Boston's Dental community.


Dr Jeffrey Donnelly has lived in eastern Massachusetts for over 35 years, the last 20 years on the South Shore. He is a 1983 honor graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Donnelly spent a year in general dental practice, before pursuing a two year / full time orthodontic residency at Tufts. He graduated, as class president, in 1986 and entered into a private orthodontic practice in Scituate. In 1991, he relocated to his existing office in Hanover. Dr. Donnelly is an active member of the American Board of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, Northeast Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and the South Shore District of Massachusetts Dental Society. Did you know that less than 25% of all members of the American Association of Orthodontists are Board Certified? Dr. Donnelly is among that elite group. As a long time, dedicated sponsor to community youth athletic leagues, Dr. Donnelly has had an opportunity to provide a program for the education and promotion of athletic mouth guards. He and his wife, Caryn (who is also a dentist), reside in Pembroke with their daughter, Faith. When not in the office, Dr. Donnelly's broad range of hobbies include skiing, gardening, and last but certainly not least, high performance car racing on the professional tracks.


Dr. Ghazwan F. Ghazi received his DMD degree from  Boston University Goldman School of Graduate   Dentistry in 1992.  Dr. Ghazi then received his postgraduate specialty degree in Periodontics and his Master's of Science degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1997.  Dr. Ghazi is a  Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a faculty member at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine since 1998.  He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology as well as a member of the Academy of Osseointegration.  Dr. Ghazi is trained to do various surgical procedures which include implant surgery, periodontal surgery including grafts, osseous surgery, wisdom teeth and dental extractions, bone grafts and sinus lift procedures.


Dr. Devika Kapoor graduated with Distinction, BSC from McGill University in 1997. She graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2001. Dr. Kapoor did her postgraduate degree in Endodontics at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2003. Dr. Kapoor is an extremely talented endodontist and is loved by her patients for her thoroughness and caring attitude. Dr. Kapoor's professional memberships include: American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
